El Scorcho Tres 25k

WE WARNED YOU TO REGISTER EARLY. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! DON'T MISS THIS FUN EVENT... EL SCORCHO TRES 25k Trinity Park, Fort Worth Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 12:00 A.M. (Yes, that really does say A.M.) This is becoming another annual tradition. We had a blast last year. I plan to do the 25k (15.5 miles) again this year and would love to have some of you join me. You must register for the race, pick up your race packet, etc. on your own. RSVP here too, so we know you are coming. Registration opens in February and is limited to 500 participants. Register early. Registration WILL close when they reach their limit. Plus the earlier you register the better the price. See the El Scorcho web site for race registration and additional information: http://www.elscorchorun.com/ You will need a headlamp and/or flashlight for this race. Also bring a lawn chair and anything else you may want for post race socializing. (Most of our group will stay, visit, and cheer until all of our walkers finish.) We will set up our chairs and bags near the starting line. The 25k is five times around a 5k course, and you will have access to your bag/supplies at the end of each loop. Walkers participating in any race should have completed an adequate training plan and be able to maintain a pace to complete the event well within the designated time limit. DON'T FORGET TO R.S.V.P ----- GET OFF THE COUCH!!! _________________________ IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Click Here For Map To Parking At Farrington Field Take I-30 to the University exit and head north on University. Go to Lancaster and turn right. Volunteers will be out there to direct you into the parking lot. Farrington Field is a big lot, so make sure you park in the southeast corner. From there, it is a 1/4 mile walk to the race starting area at Trinity Park. Any further away, and you could find yourself walking quite a while, which won't seem like a big deal until the race is over you have to trek back out there.
