Description
Greetings Ukulele Club Members, GREAT NEWS! We have had an "influx" of new members. Most of which have never strummed the instrument or who are guitar players and not familiar with the Uke. This has presented a wonderful opportunity for "us" to pass on the joy of Ukulele. If the above sounds like YOU, then this workshop was created with YOU in mind. Learn to play with others of "like" skill sets. In a safe and nurturing environment. While this workshop is "geared" towards "beginners", players of ALL skill levels are welcome to come, offer support and PLAY. WHO: The Workshop will be lead by none other than, Mark "Twang" Levine, who is the creator and founder of Dallas Ukulele Headquarters. Mark is self taught and has been playing for some 10 years. Known for his humor and Ukulele jokes, Mark really puts the "FUN FACTOR" into learning Ukulele. WHERE: Highland Park Cafeteria 1200 North Buckner Boulevard Dallas Texas 75218 Phone: 214-324-5000 We have reserved a ÂÂ"private room" - "The Shakespeare Room". Plenty of room - it can accommodate up to 65 Located in the Casa Linda shopping center at Buckner and Garland Rd. Click on the link to view the menu - http://www.highlandparkcafeteria.com/menu_of_the_day.php While this is a FREE workshop, we do ask that you patronize the location by purchasing a meal, or desert. Mark and his wife Kathy would love for you to join them after the workshop for dinner. Schedule 3:00pm ÂÂ- 3:30pm ÂÂ- Arrive, select your seat, get ready to learn and have FUN! 3:30pm - 4:30pm - Free Beginners Workshop 4:30pm - 4:45pm - Break 4:45pm - 5:25pm - Continuation Free Beginners Workshop 5:30pm - 6:00pm - Dinner COST: There is NO COST for this workshop. WHAT TO BRING: Ukulele, having your own tuner would be a plus, but not required. Music Stand if you have one - not required. SO, if you've never strummed, or are new to the instrument. Have played the guitar but not so familiar with the Ukulele, this workshop is for you. Let Mark's passion for the Ukulele inspire YOU! But most of all, come and have FUN! Remember without ÂÂ"UÂÂ" itÂÂ's just kulele!
