All that Jazz from 12-1 p.m. on Feb. 22 in the MCC Cafeteria, featuring Willerm Delisfort, pianist and composer, who will share a historic lecture and musical approach to African American music. Delisfort was born in Miami to Haitian parents who inspired his career in music. After several years of studying recordings of such legendary bands as Miles Davis Quintet, Keith Jarrett Trio, John Coltrane Quartet and Count Basie Orchestra, Delisfort has come up with an approach to playing, listening and interacting on the bandstand that improves the chemistry of small and large ensembles.
