Middle School Art Class at Crested Butte Center for the Arts

March 5, 5:30 pm

Location: ASCA, 111 Elk Avenue

Details: Focus: Modern Day Grafitti, Banksy, Street Art, and Public Installations

Ages: 5th-8th graders
When: Every Monday, March 5-April 30 (no class April 9)
Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Cost: $120 + $30 supply fee for 8-week course

This class for 5th-8th graders will focus on the ever-changing and sometimes controversial world of grafitti and street art. In addition to studying grafitti artists, like Banksy, students will work with design concepts, drawing, stenciling, and spray painting to make their own artistic statements. All work will be either done in classroom or approved before it is carried out, and no vandalism will take place in this class.
