PangeaSeed Presents: The Great West Coast Migration Art Benefit for Sharks & Oceans Comes to Costa Mesa To raise awareness for the plight of sharks and the Earth's underwater ecosystems because of unchecked fishing practices, the Tokyo-based non-profit organization PangeaSeed is kicking off a month-long art tour that begins in Seattle on July 13. The huge group show "The Great West Coast Migration" which includes the art exhibit and Beneath the Waves Film Festival will make its way down the West Coast stopping at various galleries and coming to Costa Mesa which marks the fifth stop on the pioneering 6-city shark-saving art tour featuring over 100 amazing global artists and 25 incredible filmmakers including many favorites who have been legends in the street, surf, skate art worlds. New works from supporting artists Dave Kinsey, Shark Toof, Ben Brough, Robb Havassy, Rick Rietveld, Jason Maloney, Ron Croci, Phil Roberts, Thaddeus Strode, Flick Ford, Evan Rossel (Stink), Drew Toonz,Kid Creature, Nathan Paul Gibbs and many more proceeds from the sale of artwork, film screenings and donations go directly to support it's PangeaSeed's West Coast efforts to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of shark conservation and the preservation of ocean habitats. The ARTery @ The Lab and the Treehouse/Camp in Costa Mesa will be the setting for the three day exhibition from Friday, August 10 thru Sunday, August 12, and the stellar roster of artists and music by Dano Forte's Joint Juke Freak Show and The Originalites will undoubtedly draw big crowds for this noble cause.
