The Charlotte Motor Speedway opened its doors on June 19, 1960 and was host to the first World 600 NASCAR race. Over the years, the facility was modernized and received new grandstands and luxury suites to accommodate its 140,000 patron capacity. More recently, the venue announced that they will install the world's largest HD video screen at the track and that it will measure 200 feet in length and 80 feet in height!
