8:45 am-3 pm, Sunday, January 25 (host store: REI Marina)
New to kayaking? Join us for five hours of on-the-water instruction and practice in touring-style kayaks. Lessons cover proper gear selection and fit, boat control, basic safety skills and correct paddling techniques.
We'll help you progress toward kayaking on your own. Kayak, paddle and life jacket will be provided. This outing is recommended for those 14 and older; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
