Diablo St. Concord, CA. 94520 First Press Release A pro jam series will begin Sunday March 4th 2012 in Concord at Vinnie’s Bar and Grill, to continue every 1st and 2nd Sundays, 7 to 11 PM. Timm Walker (bassist/vocalist for BeaufunK and Zydeco Flames) has assembled a house band that is sure to make any special guest comfortable and excited to be a part of this series: Ian Lamson (guitar) is currently a member of BeaufunK, The Ed Earley Band, and The Buddy Owens Band. He was a member of the Elvin Bishop Band for nine years. T. Moran (drums) has been a member of Starship, Coldblood, and Pacific Brass & Electric just to name a few. He has also performed with the likes of Gregg Allman, The Coasters, Billy Preston, and Percy Sledge. Simon Russell (keys/vocals) has tenured as keyboard player for the likes of Pete Escovedo and The James Brown Band, touring the USA, Mexico, and Japan. He now leads his own band, Groovality, a four-piece R&B/Jazz group. The list of artists scheduled to perform as special guests in the series has created a buzz in the Contra Costa music community. To begin the series, the kick- off show on March 4th features Bay Area blues legend Elvin Bishop, then has the incomparable R&B and soul singer Earl Thomas on March 11th. Other artists that have agreed to perform in the series includes world renown New Orleans style funk and latin trombonist Mike Rinta (April 1st), Blind Pig Records recording artist John Nemeth (April 8th), Tammi Brown, Tommy Castro, Miz Dee, and Alvon Johnson to name a few. Beginning in March, reserve time in your weekend to see some of your favorite music artists right in your neighborhood, in an environment that is sure to create moments in music you will never forget.
