Description
This multi-use, paved and rocked trail snakes through shady trees and along the lakes at a public park and wildlife refuge four miles north of Columbus. The public recreation area also offers free camping with electrical hookups, boating, swimming and fishing. Look for migrating waterfowl and bald eagles in winter, blooming water flowers in the summer. New this year is a loop on a rustic, tree lined dirt path to Boy Scout Island. The far point will be at the beautiful Central Community College - Platte campus.
