Description
This exhibition will draw on a number of publicly-accessible historic homes throughout the Chattahoochee Valley to demonstrate how fashion trends, technology and tastes have combined to influence peoples everyday domestic lives. The exhibition will focus on the period of ca. 1820 to ca. 1900, and feature a selection of items borrowed from or inspired by actual furnishings and architectural details in the featured homes.

The Columbus Museum is unique in the Southeast for its focus on American art and regional history. The Museum features changing art and history exhibitions, almost 300 years of American fine and decorative art, the history of the Chattahoochee Valley and Transformations, a hands-on discovery gallery for kids. The Columbus Museum, located at 1251 Wynnton Road, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
