Description
Enjoy the crisp Autumn air before winter sets in with an invigorating 4-mile hike. We're heading to the Highbanks to enjoy the final weeks of fall. Highbanks is appropriately named for its massive 100-foot high shale bluffs that tower over the Olentangy State Scenic River. Our hike will take us through wide open meadows, towering hardwood forests and along the banks of the river. The trails are well marked but these ARE trails so be sure to wear appropriate footwear! After our hike, we'll slide over to Polaris for a bite to eat and enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon with friends. Be sure to bring water for trail! When you enter the park, take your 2nd left and park in the parking lot near the picnic shelter. We will meet by that shelter to start our hike. Look for balloons that mark where the group is.
