COLE started out as a recording artist on Capitol records. A single off the Girlfight soundtrack was released produced by Dallas Austin, written by Cole and Queen Latifah. During this time she wrote with other great producers such as Teddy Riley and Pharell of The Neptunes. She has had placements on the t.v. shows Freaky Links and Cupid. She has performed on Soul Train, BET Live and The Late Late Show. During that time she found just being an artist limited her creative freedom. An artist is usually put in a box at a label.
