M-F 8 to 6, Sat. 10 to 4. Sun. 1-5. Call ahead. VC is closed major holidays. Sometimes VC closes the day before and day after so call 800# for info. The trail takes you around the State House grounds and through the University of South Carolina Campus and along historical sections of Columbia. A nice urban walk. Walking the streets of Columbia is like following the footsteps of history.
