Partners in the Power of Work Luncheon

As Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands SC moves into a new year it is with great pride that we note we have assisted over 32,000 people with their job and skill development during the 2010/2011 fiscal year that concluded on June 30, 2011. Even more impactful is the change in the lives and careers of the 6,102 South Carolinians Goodwill put back to work during that same fiscal year, especially given the difficulties of the current economy. They work in many different fields and with many different specialties, but in the end these 6,102 individuals are working and providing for themselves and their families.

This tremendous success, and the number of lives that are affected, is due in large part to the three organizations carefully selected by Goodwill to be honored at the 2012 Partners in the Power of Work Luncheon on March 28, 2012. Midlands Technical College, The United Way of the Midlands and The Arnold School of Public Health's USC Office for the Study of Aging have each provided educational opportunities, job training and employment to those served by Goodwill.
