This exhibit marks the first major exhibition showcasing the stories and artifacts of the previously understudied and underappreciated Fall Line Region. The region is located where the stateâs rivers are no longer navigable from the Lowcountry, and runs from Cheraw on the Pee Dee River to North Augusta on the Savannah. The unique culture, characteristic of these independent people, can be seen in the artifacts they made, bought, sold and used.
