Family Day and Sunday Services

10:30am - 11:00am: Family Day (Bring the kids!) 11:05am - 12:00pm: Sunday teaching and discussion ($8 or $5 students/seniors; free for Monthly Members) Family Days on Select Sundays: This fall, we'll be offering classes for children for the first time. On these days, parents and kids can attend class together, and enjoy a light-hearted Buddhist story, very brief guided meditation, and hands-on activities. Class will start at 10:30am and end around 11:30am. The following Sundays this fall will be family days: October 4 November 8 If the classes turn out to be popular, look for more in 2010! Sunday Services: You can make your Sundays meaningful by joining your friends at Ganden Mahayana Buddhist Center for prayers for world peace, guided meditation, and practical discussions designed to solve our daily problems and make our inner life rich. We'll be studying the book Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso each Sunday morning. Topics covered this fall will include: Inner peace during stressful times What is the mind? What is meditation? Gaining the courage to look at impermanence Questioning what happens after this life ... and much more Please also stay after class for coffee and time for questions and socializing! This class is wonderful for beginners, and everyone is welcome!
