This unusual program combines an original score by Devil Music Ensemble and the screening of the silent film, "Big Stakes." The classically trained musicians, Tim Nylander (drums, percussion and analog synthesizer), Brendon Wood (guitars, lap steel and synthesizer) and Jonah Rapino (electric violin, vibraphone and synthesizer), produce a truly unique sound to accompany the western comedy - a true rarity from the silent era. In "Big Stakes," J.B. Warner stars as a Texas gentleman who falls for a Mexican girl and tries to win her from the Mexican general, in a contest involving Mexican jumping beans. Cash bar.
