The South Carolina Dietetic Association promotes optimal nutrition and empowers members to be the nations food and nutrition leaders. The South Carolina Dietetic Association (SCDA) -Represents over 500 nutrition professionals in the state -Is an affiliate of the American Dietetic Association which represents nearly 65,000 food and nutrition professionals -Serves South Carolinians by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being. -Is divided into five geographical districts with each having a set of officers - Piedmont, Catawba, Columbia Midlands, Charleston Trident, and Pee Dee. -Represents dietitians employed in state and federal government positions such as WIC, school nutrition, DHEC and other community settings; hospitals; long term care facilities; outpatient services; food related businesses; and universities and research centers.
