On Saturday, November 21, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital supporters in more than 40 communities across the country will join together to participate in this exciting 5K walk to raise money for the children of St. Jude.
In Colorado Springs, the walk is going to take place at Chapel Hills Mall. This event kicks off our National Thanks and Giving campaign which is a union of celebrities, media, retail and corporate partners based on asking consumers to "give thanks for the healthy kinds in their lives, and give to those who are not".
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a hospital for children with cancer. The children receive the best possible treatment at no cost to their families. St. Jude freely shares all of its research with the medical community which means that doctors in Colorado Springs can use the resources and research locally when treating children. More than 85% of every dollar goes directly to the current and future needs of the hospital.
