10K Run & 5K Run/Walk (Kids Little Wildebeest Run)

This race honors Greg Flint who has been sorely missed by all who knew him. Greg was an avid runner and a unique character with a heart of gold. He joked with his running buddy about forming a Run like a Rabid Wildebeest Running Club. Great name for a race!

Fortunately, this race will not take place on the Serengeti Plains in Africa so you wont have to worry about being chased by lions, cheetahs, or hyenas. The 5K race will take you through the county park in Flushing while the 10K race will include the county park, the Flushing river trail, and various neighborhoods as well. The kids race will be at the high school track.

Proceeds from this race will go to Flushing High School Track & Cross Country, Flushing Christian Outreach Center, and the American Heart Association.

STARTING TIME:

10K Run & 5K Run/Walk events start at 8:00 am (10K) & 8:10 am (5K)

Little Wildebeest Run (1/4 mile, once around track) starts 9:30 am

Flushing High School, 5039 Deland Rd. Flushing, Michigan 48433

REGISTRATION:

Early registration ends April 21st. After that date, entrants must pay the late registration fee.

Race day registration begins at 6:30 am at Flushing High School

PACKET PICK-UP:

Available on Friday April 27th from 10:00am 8:00pm at Bauman's Running & Walking Shop, 1473 W. Hill Rd., Flint. Packets will also be available at 6:30 am on race day (Flushing High School)

Event WITH short sleeve tech shirt 10K Run & 5K Run/ Walk:

On or before April 21st $23.00 After April 21st $25.00

Event WITHOUT shirt 10K Run & 5K Run/ Walk

On or before April 21st $8.00 After April 21st $10.00

Event Little Wildebeest Run: $8.00 (includes Wildebeest T-shirt and medal)

• FACILITIES: Restrooms only. Come dressed to run or walk.

• AWARDS: Awards to Overall and Masters Male and Female and top three in each division for each race. (Including 5K walkers)

AGE GROUPS:

RUNNERS: Male and Female: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 & 80 & over.

HEFTY WILDEBEEST: Top three awards for men in 185-199 pounds, 200-219 pounds and 220 pounds & over. You must check appropriate box and indicate weight.

WALKERS: Male and Female: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 & 80 &over.
