Description
This event is produced and presented by the Ottley Music School.
Legendary tenor George Shirley of the University of Michigan and well-known Washington-area singers Detra Battle (soprano) and Reginald Bouknight (tenor) of the Washington National Opera Company, along with bass Leonard Higgs, teacher of Ottley Music School, will present a benefit concert featuring repertoire from opera, oratorio, art songs and spirituals. The program will include music of Black composers.
Tickets are $22 general admission, $12 students and senior citizens. This event is not produced by the Center; tickets are available at the Ottley Music School (contact@ottleymusic.org or phone 301-454-0991) and at the Clarice Smith Ticket Office.
