Dr. Barry Lee Pearson, Professor of English

Dr. Pearson will lead a discussion on the origin and evolution of the music of Appalachia, including musical samples. He works with organizations engaged in presenting traditional American music, including the National Council for the Traditional Arts, the nation’s oldest folk arts organization for which he serves as president.
