Yoga Hike and Meditation at Lost Lake

Come enjoy a morning hiking a local trail that is easy to get to and from; Lost Lake nature trail. Lost Lake is a 305 acre park that was established by the Fresno Audobon Society; it is a wonderful location to see local wildlife such as heron and beavers. We'll also see some Native American grinding holes. The trail follows the river and is lined by oak trees. For more details, please see the link above. Along the trail, we'll pause for a moment to enjoy some asanas and meditation. The exact asanas and length of meditation will depend upon the conditions of the trail on the day we go. This part is optional so if anyone feels like a nice hike without the yoga or meditation, this is still a fun outing. After the hike, we'll stop for lunch at Masala Indian Cuisine They are located at 7735 N Blackstone. How to Prepare: Dress - dress in layers. Bring a bottle of water (this will not be a major workout for most, but water is good) Bring a towel or blanket to sit on (I will have two spares I can loan out) There is a $5.00 charge to enter Lost Lake. Meetup Time We will be meeting at STARBUCKS to carpool at 8:00am - we will leave Starbucks at 8:20 am. If you are running late and want to carpool, please give me a call so we wait for you This Starbucks is located at 3170 Fowler Ave # 101 - on the corner of Fowler and Ashlan. For those who would rather meet us at the trailhead, please plan to meet us in the Lost Lake picnic area by about 8:50 am To get to Lost Lake: Take Friant Road past Willow. Turn Left on Lost Lake Road. Turn left after the booth and follow the road near the water's edge. The parking for the Nature Trail is at the end of the road. I'll make sure everyone who has RSVP'd has my cel number. Full rain will cancel the hike portion of the meetup, but we'll still do lunch. I look forward to seeing you! Update: One of my sons and I pre-hiked this area last night. It was lovely but there was some graphiti and broken glass. Still lots of oak trees and several different types of birds...
