The Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland originally opened its doors as the Gund Arena on October 17, 1994 with an inaugural performance by American rock sensation Billy Joel. With a seated capacity of 20,500, five multi-screen video walls, 562 television monitors, 92 suites, a full-service production facility and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, the Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland has the design and technology to suit a huge variety of major events.

The Quicken Loans Arena is currently home to the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters. In addition to the various games played by its tenants, the Quicken Loans Arena schedule annually hosts the Mid-American Conference Men’s & Women’s Championship Tournaments.

However, the venue is made for much more than just sport. Indeed, the Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland has become a major destination for many big name touring artists.
