Description
Drawing Workshop, Taught by Nancy Why are we doing perspective again?.... 1. If you can't make it to the first perspective workshop, this is another opportunity for you to learn how to draw in perspective. 2. Perspective is a basic necessity when creating most types of art. There is a lot to learn and review when doing perspective; one-point, two-point, buildings, streets, room interiors, etc....so if you're taking the first workshop, you can still take this one and learn something new. Any level of ability is welcome and you don't have to take any of the other workshops before you take this one. I'm labeling the workshops with numbers only so you can keep track of the order; so the fact that it's called, "Drawing Workshop 5" doesn't mean it's more advanced. Whatever level of ability you are, I will work with you to either teach you the basics or help you develop what you already know. We'll be meeting in Rocky River, at St. Thomas Lutheran School. It's easy to find, close to Rocky River High School. The address is: 21211 Detroit Rd. Parking is in the back, and the school entrance is clearly labeled. We'll meet in the art room. I'll give more specifics to those who attend. You'll need to bring your own supplies, which are: - a sketchbook or some paper that is 8x10 or 9x12 (or something close to those sizes) - pencils (you can bring drawing pencils if you want, but no special kind is needed, #2 will do) - an eraser - a ruler Optional: a photo of something in perspective to draw from. This is only if you have a specific image you'd really like to draw. If you don't have anything, I will provide something for you. Other important information: 1. Each workshop will be 2 hours long, from 6:30-8:30. 2. If you need to be a little late, no problem, just let me (Nancy) know ahead of time. 3. The cost for each workshop is $10 and you can pay by cash or check when you arrive. If you bring a guest with you (a "+1" participant not already in the art meetup), I'll take $5 off your workshop price. That means you will pay only $5 for the workshop!* 4. I need at least 3 people to come in order to have a workshop/class. This means I will need to have an accurate head count of attendees in order to plan the workshop. If you say you're coming, I am counting on you to show up. So please update your RSVP if you need to change it prior to the RSVP deadline. 5. If less than 5 RSVP "yes", I may have to cancel the event, due to potential no-shows. "Maybe" won't count as a "yes." *The guest will pay full price. Discount only applies for one guest per workshop; $5 is the total discount amount allowed per meetup person, per workshop, even if you bring more than one guest. Creating art is very therapeutic and good for the soul. So if you are into learning something new and socializing with other art-lovers, then join us for a rewarding experience. Email me if you have other questions or concerns. Hope to see you there!
