The African Childrens Choir was born following the brutal reign of Idi Amin in Uganda during which hundreds of thousands of children were orphaned. The singing of one small child inspired founder Ray Barnett and his team of volunteers to recruit the first African Childrens Choir from these desperate children. Performing throughout the world, the African Childrens Choir brings hope and joy to everyone they meet, while shining the spotlight on the plight of children in Africa. Their mission is to show the world that Africas most vulnerable children have beauty, dignity, and unlimited ability. Each year, a new choir is selected and the children from the previous years choir return to their homelands to attend school.
