Description
The VCOS Symposium in the Sun is the ONLY national symposium devoted to the leaders of volunteer and combination departments. Sponsored by the IAFCs Volunteer and Combination Officers Section and designed for managers and leaders of volunteer and combination departments, VCOS addresses the unique needs of these departments through a series of workshops, seminars and general sessions. VCOS explores transitioning from a volunteer to a combination department, recruitment and retention, leadership and management, staffing and more. Established in 1873, the International Association of Fire Chiefs represents the leadership of over 1.2 million firefighters. IAFC members are the worlds leading experts in firefighting, emergency medical services, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search and rescue, and public safety legislation. No exhibits, but sponsorships are available.
