I Street: Writing Class: Editing for Writers: What Publishers Want You to Know

In these economic times, agents and publishers are increasingly placing the burden of editing on the author. Many will not consider pieces with even minor flaws and errors. So what's a writer to do? Develop your grammar muscles and learn to self-edit and revise to increase your work's marketability in this course covering all levels of editing. Some previous writing experience recommended.

Laura Garwood Meehan is a "literary mercenary," or freelance editor and writer. She studied English at UCLA, and then got her masters in book publishing (with an editing emphasis) from Portland State University. Though she specializes in book manuscript editing, she has edited everything from calendars to course catalogs.

Classes will take place:
