About Bogarts in Cincinnati

Description

Bogarts is a local Cincinnati music venue near the University of Cincinnati. This local treasure features all the best in local college rock! The Bogarts concert calendar typically hosts local and national metal bands. Slayer, Testament, Dark Angel, and Wasp are just a few of the mega-metal bands that have performed at Bogarts. The venue dates back to 1905 when it was opened as a vaudeville theatre. It closed its doors in 1955 due to the emergence of film and television, but was reopened in the 1960s as a foreign language movie theatre. The modern Bogarts that we know and love today was opened in the 1970s and featured 300 seats. Bogarts underwent an expansion in 1993 and now features two levels, a pit, and a balcony. Bogarts is locally known as the best live music venue to catch a hard rock or heavy metal act. Don't miss a performance on the Bogarts concert calendar.
