Description
Winton Woods Winton Centre / 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Build a wildlife pizza, practice recognizing animal signs, and visit with some live animals. A craft will be available for a small fee.
Harper Art Show
Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve Ellenwood Nature Barn / 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Enjoy the art of the Harper Family. The new Harper American Goldfinch glass ornaments and brass adornments will be available for purchase.
Gearing up for Winter
Sharon Woods Sharon Centre / 2:00 p.m.
Learn how animals prepare for winter through activities, including making a craft to take home.
Mapping II
Winton Woods / 2:00 p.m.
Join us for this outdoor program on using a map and a compass. Try our orienteering course where you will follow a bearing, learn to travel around large obstacles and get back on the right track again! Cost is $5 and the deadline to register is November 12.
Where Do the Frogs and Toads Go?
Miami Whitewater Forest Visitor Center / 2:00 p.m.
Meet a few amphibians to find out how they survive the cold Ohio winter.
Autumn Breeze and a Screech Owl
Fernbank Park Playground / 2:00 p.m.
Meet the naturalist for a brisk walk in the crisp autumn air to see how plants and animals are preparing for winter. Meet a live screech owl after the hike to learn how it will adapt to the changing of the seasons.
Outdoor Sampler
Winton Woods / 4:00 p.m.
Try out our outdoor archery range. Still looking for another challenge? Give our climbing wall a try, too! Cost is $15 and the deadline to register is November 12.
