Description
The Buckeye Trail Association (BTA) is having a winter hike at Hueston Woods State Park on Martin Luther King Day. The hike will go around Acton Lake and will encompass about 11 miles. (map here) Meet at the Lodge by 9:00 a.m., or join the BTA for breakfast by 8:00 a.m. If interested sign up here or contact Pat Hayes at president@buckeyetrail.org. A bean soup and corn muffin lunch will be available at the park office next to the Nature Center. Donations are accepted. For those wishing to hike only from the Lodge to the Nature Center, a shuttle back to the Lodge will be available. This is a free event (well, you have to pay for you own breakfast). Dogs ARE allowed, except in the Nature Preserve section, at which point dogs and their owners will have to use the Loop Road to rejoin the rest of the group.
