Friday, November 14, 2008 - Saturday, January 10, 2009 Forms of accoutrement found within fashion such as clothing, jewelry, and formal headwear serve as visual cues of expression for artist Althea Murphy-Price (Bloomington, Indiana). She is interested in how we choose to define ourselves; the subconscious internal versus the superficial external. In an ongoing exploration, she uses synthetic hair in installations and printmaking to address issues of identity and cultural associations.
