HEAVEN’S RANCH FIRST ANNUAL ACE IN THE HOLE GALA

CHINO HILLS, CA, July 26, 2012: Changing the lives of horses in need while assisting young people as they gain confidence is the goal of Heaven’s Ranch Rescue. In order to raise funds for this endeavor, The First Annual Ace in the Hole Gala will take place Saturday, September 22, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, at the Los Serranos Country Club, 15656 Yorba Ave., Chino Hills, CA 91709. Held in conjunction with the Country Club, the casino-themed event promises something for everyone and will feature dining, dancing, gambling, silent auction and Casino Raffle.

In addition, actor and director Don Most, best known for his role as Ralph on TV’s Happy Days, will discuss Heaven’s Ranch and the horses assisted by the rescue. Most recently directed “Harley’s Hill”, which was filmed at Heaven’s Ranch in 2011 and is available on Red Box.

Heaven’s Ranch Rescue came into existence in 2005 with the rescue of six yearling horses from Canada that were tagged for auction and ultimately a packing house for human consumption. Since that time, 55 or more horses have been rescued and placed in the program. Horses like Monroe, a PMU gelding from the initial 2005 rescue group, Monroe underwent successful colic surgery in 2011, developed a hernia requiring additional surgery, and is currently thriving at the Rescue. Or Montana, rescued in 2009 as a two-year old, arriving at the ranch nearly 150 pounds underweight. Montana was subsequently adopted into a loving family and currently resides at Heaven’s Ranch. In addition, El Rey, rescued in 2010 was featured in a starring role as Harley in “Harley’s Hill”.

With a motto of “Horses With A Future”, currently 13 of these rescued equines provide more than 300 lessons per month as they participate in a program that includes working with challenged and autistic children and adults. With a goal of raising $40,000 to offset the majority of the training, feeding and health care burden carried by Heaven’s Ranch, LLC, all of the funds raised at the Gala will directly benefit the rescue and children’s program, allowing Heaven’s Ranch Rescue to provide care for these animals. In addition, these funds will allow the ranch to continue to offer children the opportunity to learn to care for, ride and love these magnificent animals.
