Description

Subterranean is a nightclub and live entertainment venue located in the Wicker Park area of Chicago, Illinois. The promise of cheap beer and tasty cheese fries may act as the initial lure for many newcomers to the venue, but once inside, Subterranean doesn’t disappoint.The Chicago hotspot is divided into two unique areas: the Lounge, and the Cabaret Room. The smaller of the two, the Lounge at Subterranean features comfy couches, a dance floor, full bar, seating and a DJ booth. The Cabaret Room, on the other hand, is much larger, and features two full bars, three restrooms, a stage and a balcony. Subterranean Chicago prides itself on providing music fans with a smaller setting in which they can experience intimate live performances by the best in new and up-and-coming acts from both the local music scene and farther afield.
In addition to live music acts (including DJs), the Subterranean schedule of events is constantly packed with various open mic nights and drink and admission specials. The venue can also be hired for private events, and each year plays host to many wedding receptions, parties, benefits and more.
