Description

Grant Park Chicago is one of the city’s most prominent parks, and is often fondly referred to as ‘Chicago’s front yard.’ The location boasts such notable features as the Millennium Park and Buckingham Fountain, and is also home to three world-renowned museums; the Field Museum of Natural History, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Shedd Aquarium.

Grant Park Chicago has been the site of numerous major events over the years including Pope John Paul II’s visit to the city in 1979. The venue has been the annual host of the Lollapalooza music festival since 2005 – a contract which is expected to continue through 2018. On November 4 2008, the Grant Park schedule featured none other than President Barack Obama, the park being the location for his Election Day victory speech. Grant Park Chicago also marks the start and end points of the Chicago Marathon.
