US Stakeholders Movement at internet
A citizen that burdens the country and who still has the power to influence it's leadership and direction creates a conflict of interest. This is similar to non-stock holders choosing its directors and voting on the direction that a company goes. If somone doesn't have a vested interest at risk, what motivates them to make the best decisions for that company? Isn't it obvious that they be likely to make decisions that are not in the company's best interest if they could benefit from those decisions even if the stockholders or company suffer as a result? A company could never survive if everyone (even competitors) were able to choose it's direction. It is crazy that we expect our country to succeed under those exact same conditions.
