President's Day Volleyball Tournament
During the month of February, Chicagoans celebrate two holidaysâ"one state, the other federalâ"in honor of two notable US presidents. The birthday of Illinoisâ native son, Abraham Lincoln, is observed on (or around) February 12th. George Washingtonâs birthday (also known as âPresident's Dayâ) is always observed on the third Monday in February. Special programming for youth is offered at various parks on these school holidays.
