Eddie Soloway’s “Natural Eye” workshop series in our country’s beautiful urban parks makes its summer stop in Chicago’s Millennium Park.

It is hard to believe the diversity inside these twenty-four acres nestled next to The Art Institute of Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan. Created in 2004, the Park beckons to be photographed.

You find yourself as mesmerized by the elliptical Cloud Gate sculpture, 110 tons of polished stainless steel, as by the expanse of glorious and great lake.

You find tranquil moments in the native prairie plants and roses. And you photograph happily in the parade of visitors,reflecting pools, and the towering sky scape of contemporary architecture.

Surround yourself in Chicago’s celebration of summer while immersing your photography in Eddie’s eye-opening ideas and practical insights into pushing your images in new directions. Calumet Photographic on the Near North Side provides our base for the workshop. The weekend starts Friday evening and finishes late Sunday afternoon. Eddie weaves together many of the elements of his Santa Fe-based “Natural Eye” workshop, including activities designed to guide you to viewing the natural world with fresh eyes and fine-tuning technical ideas that help you capture what you see.
