Formed out of a burning urge to express a more aggressive side of the Black experience. Bushoong brings a host of influences to the table to serve up a tight mix of Soul with all the fixin's. In the Spirit of our forbearers like Nina Simone, Band of Gypsies, Ohio Players, (pre Mr. Biggs) Isley Brothers. Curtis, Miles, JB's, the 3 Louis' (Jordan, Armstrong, & Johnson) (Big) Luther, The P-Funk Massive, Mother's Finest, Busboys, Fishbone & Living Colour to name only a few. Reaching critical synergistic mass is no easy feat! However, Bushoong was up for the challenge. Fusion has been reached and it is just beginning. There is more in store from this Intrepid Chicago quartet. Can they Rock? Can they Funk? Can they Swing? Can they Skank? To all a resounding Yes!!! Yet there is still more to be had!
