Planned Parenthood of Illinois to Host 37th Roe v. Wade Anniversary Celebration With Celebrity Guest Dr. Ruth, Legendary Sex Expert
Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL) will host The Future of Choice on January 21st in celebration of the 37th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade.
Legendary psychosexual therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer will be the evening keynote. Since the 1980 debut of her radio program, Sexually Speaking, Dr. Ruth has helped spread sexual literacy to the masses as a now legendary, comedic sex therapist. She has produced award-winning television shows including The All New Dr. Ruth Show and What's Up, Dr. Ruth, written over 35 books on sex, and her advice column, Ask Dr. Ruth, circles around the globe.
Chicago Alderman Vi Daley (D-43) will be awarded with PPIL’s Richard J Phelan Profile in Courage Award for sponsoring and passing a “bubble zone” ordinance in the Chicago City Council.
Debby Herbenick, Time Out Chicago’s sex and dating columnist and author of Because It Feels Good, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Tickets include cocktail reception and buffet dinner. Exciting silent auction packages include a private hosted dinner with Top Chef fourth season winner, Stephanie Izard, a ski trip to Park City, Utah, and Chicago Restaurant packages including dinner for two at some of Chicago’s top restaurants.
