Intro to Sustainability Careers Workshop (Combined Early and Mid-careers Levels)In
response to popular demand, this workshop will assist participants with
the entire process of entering the sustainability sector in the Chicago
area. Topics include: learning about the sector, being prepared,
finding opportunities, transitioning to a sustainability-related
position, rationale for entering this field, networking, and securing
(informational) interviews. Space is intentionally limited to 30 participants to allow for questions/interaction.Lead by Peter Nicholson, Executive & Creative Director of the Foresight Design Initiative.
Advanced Sustainability Careers Workshop* (Follow-up to the Entry and Mid-careers Workshops)This session is the next step
in Foresight’s Sustainable Careers Workshop series. This workshop will
be a more  in–depth and participatory seminar for past workshop
participants. Attendees will jointly review the latest edition of
Foresight’s Sustainable Careers Resource Guide discussing key entries;
share experiences regarding their self-assessment, educational
undertakings, as well as ways in which they have gained experience in
the field.  Intended to provide the information and insight necessary
to empower attendees to overcome barriers to their job search and/or
transition, this workshop will dedicate significant time to
indentifying these obstructions and exploring strategies for overcoming
them. Space is intentionally limited to 30 participants to allow for questions/interaction. Lead by David Reynolds, EarthTech.
*Note: Attendance at a previous Foresight Sustainable Careers Workshop is required. Participants will be provided with some initial questions in advance and be expected to bring their answers to the session.
Lunch—Get Me Greg's (11:30-1:00pm) Included only for those that purchase a Full Day ticket.
Afternoon Session (1:00-5:30pm)Sustainability Careers Next Steps: Power Up!Intended

both small- and large-group sessions, this half-day seminar will
provide the opportunity to meet with local sustainability leaders from
a diversity of sectors in small group settings. In addition, reviewed
topics will complement those covered in the previous workshop(s). They
will include resume and cover letter issues, putting your
self-assessment to work, getting experience, practice interviews, and
viable next steps. Space is intentionally limited to 75 participants to allow for questions/interaction.
Chicago Green Drinks and its annual careers panel will immediately follow. Admission to Green Drinks is included in the cost of the seminar.Evening Networking Event (5:45-8:30pm)Green Drinks & Power NetworkingPanel Topic: Finding a Fit—Sustainability Careers During a DownturnWith

community. They will explore the topic from different angles in order
to provide a broad, yet informed, perspective on job, educational and
