Description
Cycle and Triathlon Website The Cycle & Fitness Firecracker Triathlon is a sprint triathlon with a ¼ mile swim, a 11 mile bike and a 3 mile run. The swim will take place in Lake Michigan and will be a rectangle course. Athletes will swim with the current and the water temperature will be between 62 and 72 degrees, so wet suits will be allowed. The bike course will be a one loop 11 mile ride through rural roads in Berrien County. The course does have a few small climbs, but no major hills. The run course will be an out and back course with a great finish next to the beach in Jean Klock Park. The swim will take place in Lake Michigan. If the waves are to big or the water is to cold, the race will be changed to a Duathlon (run, bike, run) The bike and run courses will be closed to car traffic.
