Organized by:CJUG Speaker:Rakesh Vidyadharan Java Content Repository (JSR 170) The Java Content Repository (JCR) is a standard (JSR 170) aimed at unifying the repository access API to help CMS users maintain vendor independent code. The JCR provides a XML type view of content and abstracts the actual storage mechanism(s) entirely from the developer. This talk will introduce some of the core features of the JCR, common design choices and pitfalls that developers may encounter. time permitting we will walk through a simple conceptual exercise on the steps involved in building a trivial CMS system using JackRabbit (the JCR reference implementation).
