Description
Independence Day celebration of culture
Over 100 international acts and local acts will perform on two stages and over 200 exhibitors will be on display at this Independence Day weekend celebration of culture and music!
A complete family festival of music, food, arts, crafts, talent contests and more! In addition, the best of reggae, calypso, gospel, african and other entertainers.
Students facing economic struggles can register for the chance of receiving a scholarship at this festival (email festoflife@gmail.com for more information).
Tickets are FREE to kids under six years old
$5 ages 7-12 and seniors 65 years and over

In 1869 after several years of lobbying by prominent south siders the Illinois State Legislature established the South Park Commission The newly appointed Board of Commissioners identified more than 1 000 acres of land just south of Chicago for a large park and boulevards that would connect it with downtown and the West Park System Originally called South Park the property was composed of eastern and western divisions now Jackson and Washington Parks and the Midway Plaisance The commissioners hired Frederick Law Olmsted the father of American landscape architecture and his partner Calvert Vaux to create the original plan for South ParkPost a Countdown Widget
