As the young brother of one of Rock n' Roll's most resepected frontmen, Adam Kowalczyk has grown to recognize different sides of the music business and the touring industry. Since 1999, Adam has toured the world's stages from mid-sized venues to sold out stadiums (Woodstock 2004, Werchter, Hasselt Pukkelpop Festivals, Rotterdam Ahoy, Nijmegen Hoffert Park, etc.) alongside Ed Kowalczyk playing rhythm guitar and singing background for LIVE. He has also performed as a studio musician on LIVE's album releases entitled, "The Distance to Here" "V" "Awake-The Best of Live" and the new release, "Radiant Sea." On the other side of this spectrum sits Adam's solo career and the proof of his inner markings as an artist, the cultivation of his "voice." Here is your invitation. Adam Kowalczyk's debut CD âLooking Up from the Ground' (2003) with his band, Adam and the Weight, was nominated by the LA Music Awards as âIndependent Pop Album of the Year'. He also received an Honorable Mention at the âthe International Songwriting Competition 2004' for the song entitled "Never Good at Fighting." In 2005, he followed "Looking Up from the Ground" with his first solo independent release, "The Dream EP" which was recorded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and co-produced by Adam Kontis at Moontree Studios. "The Dream EP" contains 12 compelling songs in which he reflects about his life and times in Los Angeles and his experiences on the road in an attempt to bring his audience a breath of fresh air from the current mainstream. Consider "The Dream EP" to represent more of a chapter in a heartfelt book of many to come. SOLD OUT
