Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times Exhibit

As part of this year's GSSW Diversity Series Initiative: "Refugees and Immigrants", we invite you to an exhibition at the Social Work Library entitled “Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times”. On display are photographs of refugees and refugee camps taken by Penny Alexander, GSSW Director of International and Part-time Programs, during her site visits to agencies in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Thailand from 2006 to 2009. The exhibition includes the perspectives of three recent GSSW Global Practice students who worked in refugee camps as part of their international field placements. GSSW invites you to experience this exhibition and reflect upon the courage and resilience of refugees around the world.
