Best Sushi and Service in Virginia Beach: I've been to many sushi restraunts in Virginia Beach and Nara Sushi has BY FAR the best sushi and service. I has read many reviews on sushi places and was always disappointed by the ones that said "best sushi" but when I came across Nara Sushi I was so delighted! You are always greeted by friendly knowledgable staff when you walk in. The sushi is priced very well and worth every penny. My favorite is the signature Nara Roll, it is shrimp tempura and eel, THE BEST! I usually get my orders to go (which are ready in 15 minutes or less). But the dining room is set up very warmly, with dimmed lights, seems like a great place to go for a date night.Also, they have an interesting desret menu of green tea ice cream and cheesecakes (YUM!) I strongly suggest this place to anyone looking for great sushi. There is nothing I can say bad about this place. It's amazing!! 2.Part-Time Sushi Lover: I think if I keep coming here it will turn me into a full-time Sushi lover. We ordered Chef's Omagaze which is like the top on the Menu. It comes with their Nara Special Soup, Chicken Negimake, Thinly sliced cuts of Mahi-Mahi, Tropical (tuna, lobster, avocado & mango) and the finale which is Sushi Trio another Chef's selection and then of course the dessert which is Creme Brulee. We not only enjoyed great food but the romantic ambiance, polite service and their soothing smooth jazz music pampered us with the best dinner ever! You'll be missing a lot if you're in Va Beach and you don't try it, for real! I love this place, it's Sushi at its class! 3.Nara's fantastic service, Friendly sushi chefs, and laid back atmosphere have quickly made Nara our favorite sushi place in Virginia. My husband and I do not ask "do you want to go out for dinner?" anymore, we ask "Sushi?" neither of us has ever said no. I very much recommend the tropical stack, a picturesque stack of raw succulent tuna, topped with delicate avacado and sweet mango. It is a favorite along with the Crazy Angel roll, an absolutely beautiful and incredibly indulgent roll that I have literally taken a picture of to hang on my kitchen wall.
