Join us on our summer break road trip from downtown Atlanta to the scenic Fort Mountain State Park - rated amongst the most exciting and mysterious sites of Natural History on the East Coast! Immerse yourself for 3 days in nature's beauty, natural historic sites and enthralling adventures on Fort Mountain's acclaimed hiking trails and calming lake. Come join our family and celebrate the awesome opportunity to: Camp under the stars Perform Ashtanga, Pranayama and Sound Meditation with the rising and setting sun Swimming in the calming waters of Fort Mountain Lake! Each ticket is for 120$/person (heavily subsidized - includes food, accomodation, sports, entertainment and transportation for 3 days!). Once you have booked your spot, eventbrite will send you a link to a whatsapp group on the ticket confirmation (yes, please download whatsapp!) which we will use for coordinating all attendees and sending a checklist + itinerary. The trip starts on 25th May (Saturday) at 8 AM and ends on 27th May (Monday) at 10 PM. We are so excited to join you on this trip! FAQs   Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes. In keeping with Georgia Tech Policy, we will need ID to show that you are atleast 18 years of age. You will also need to sign a waiver indicating you understand how much (fun!) you are getting into.   What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? You will need to reach 1315 South Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta - 30306 (preferably by car) by 8 AM (request organizers in case you are going to be reaching late). There is sufficient parking at the venue. We will be leaving from this location on Saturday (25 May 2019) and arriving back here on Monday night (27 May 2019). We have already booked vans for this purpose so we request everyone to use this facility (we would prefer you not driving with your own car as there is no space in the park for extra vehicles). So just drive up here and leave your car over the weekend, and you can come back with us to get your car. What is not included in the trip cost? For items to get on the trip: tent + tarpaulins sleeping bags/pillow/additional blankets/sleeping mat flashlight umbrella/rain coat/poncho (just in case) Summer clothes for yoga and sleeping sweater/wind breaker/shawl for nights swim suits/trunks hiking shoes flip flops Yoga mat bug spray/sunblock toiletries + toilet paper towels (extra ones as we will be swimming) COMPULSORY journals and pens (to write down wonderful lessons and memoirs) reusable water bottle reusable plate/glass/cutlery/spoon/fork/knife/cup/bowl (we are trying to be eco-friendly) sport equipment (football, volleyball, frisbee etc.) musical instruments personal medication Your open minds and hearts! For more private concerns, please email   What's the refund policy? Since we have made purchases in advance based on the number of tickets booked, we are unable to provide full refunds. We would love to see you join us - please try to make it! If extremely urgent, we suggest finding a replacement for your ticket on the trip and sorting out costs with them extraneously. We will process refunds in exceptional cases only and we would still only return   Can I drive directly to the site using my car? There is no space for extra cars at the campsite. You would be charged extra for bringing your own car. Reach out to the organizers if you would like to volunteer your car to carry food, snacks, coolers, gas stoves etc. in case you really want to come by car so that the folks in the vans get more space. Can I come and go anytime during the event? We highly recommend driving with us and spending the whole 3 days with us - we are an awesome set of folks to hang out with! Our yoga training is very systematic and needs to be followed in the right pattern for the most rejuvenating results. In the situation that urgent scenarios emerge, please reach out to us at   Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes - although we would love to see both you and your friend join us! The transfer would be a matter between you and the person you are transferring it to and removes any liability to the Bhakti Yoga Club at Georgia Tech or Georgia Tech in anyway. Is there anything that I need to know? This is a spiritual retreat, so there is emphasis on yoga, meditation, yoga philosophy discussions, reading, waking up early etc. But we will have LOADS OF FUN DOING THEM! We will strictly adhere to the schedule - please save a copy with you before coming on the trip Please download whatsapp and communicate actively on the trip group. We welcome pets provided they are well behaved, kept on a leash when on the move, and don't create nuisance when we eat/do yoga/read/discuss etc. Reach out to the volunteers in case you need to bring a pet. There is no extra cost for the pet but its' care and diet etc. is your responsibility. On the trip, you will be asked to help with cooking and cleaning once each in a team of 6. This helps us keep the camp organized and a memorable experience for all!
