H. H. Swami Tejomayananda is the Spiritual Head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide. Chinmaya Mission is a Hindu spiritual organization that has several hundred thousand members across the world and over 300 centers. Swami Tejomayananda will be touring the USA and will be visiting the Twin Cities from May 28-30, 2012. His program includes free public talks on the "Glory of Ganesha" at the Chinmaya Mission Twin Cities Center in Chaska.
“Ganesha” is elephant faced Hindu God and his image is seen in many artistic forms and shapes. “Ganesha” has become commonplace in the West as well. Ganesha images are seen on many clothing items, bags, stationery etc. Ganesha statues and prints adorn many homes, businesses and Yoga studios. Swami Tejomayananda’s talks will explain the true significance of Ganesha and how it is akin to the famous mantra “Om”. He uses humor and everyday experiences in his talks to provide practical life applications for the audience.
In this global age, we feel that this is a great opportunity for Twin Cities’ community to listen to a world-renowned spiritual teacher and develop a cross-cultural understanding.
