The Evening Muse is Charlotte, North Carolina's most versatile venue for live independent music. Whether its folk, jazz, hip-hop, pop, or rock that piques your interest, the Evening Muse schedule is jam-packed with all of your favorite local acts trying to break through. Since opening its doors in April, 2001 the Evening Muse has hosted performers from North Carolina and the world and has brought a musical flavor unparalleled in the city. The intimate venue features space for 80 seated patrons or standing room for 120 and features a premier sound system with a sound engineer on staff. For the past decade, the Evening Muse has been hailed by local media and fans as one of the best live venues for independent music. Charlotte Magazine hailed it as the Best Live Music Venue in 2005 in their "Best of the Best" issue. While Creative Loafing magazine hailed it as the "Best Acoustic Music Club" in their 2004 issue.
